Community Health Summer Jobs: Lawrence, MA

Groundwork Lawrence, based in Lawrence MA (MBTA accessible and about a 30-40 minute drive from Boston) is Hiring Summer Staff! Interested in working with youth in community health, environmental stewardship agriculture, service learning, and social-emotional learning this summer?  Are you available late June to mid August?  We are seeking qualified individuals for the following positions below.

Deadlines: Rolling for Green Team positions and  Urban Adventures positions.  Applicants may apply to multiple positions. Apply as soon as possible!

Green Team Leaders (30-40 hrs/week) 

Urban Adventures Counselors (18-23 hrs/week)

Compensation is $14-18/ hr dependent on grant funding and qualification

 

More Information:

Green Team is a 7-week part-time workforce development and leadership program for 30 high school students in Lawrence focused on urban agriculture, health, the environment, and community engagement.

Urban Adventures is a 5-week fun-filled summer camp-like experience for Lawrence youth ages 11-14, exploring food, health service learning, urban gardening, and social-emotional learning

Groundwork Lawrence (GWL) has been making change happen since its beginnings in 1999. Through its environmental and open space improvements, healthy food access programs, youth education, employment initiatives, community programming and events, GWL creates the building blocks of a healthy community and empowers residents to improve their quality of life.
