Counselors, Latino Commission Adolescent Residential Facilities for Boys and Girls

At Latino Commission on Drug and Alcohol Abuse Services, we are excited to be opening up two new Adolescent Residential Facilities for Boys and Girls. We have the following two positions open at the moment: 

1) Residential (13 to 17 yrs old) 11 pm to 7:30 am Monday - Friday - Awake support to the youth in program

Duties:

  • Provide Support and supervision to the teens
  • Shift documentations
  • Inventory and Client file Quality Assurance

Qualifications:

  • 12 CEUs in Psychology, child development, or counseling
  • Must be CPR and First Aid certified
  • Knowledge of Substance Abuse preferred
  • Minimum one year experience working with teens

 2) Residential (13 to 17 yrs old) 3 pm to 11:30 am Monday - Friday

Duties:

  • Responsible for group facilitation and individual sessions
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, charting and treatment planning as required by funding source
  • Conducts outreach activities, community fun activities with the teens
  • Shift documentations
  • Inventory and Client file Quality Assurance

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 CEUs in Psychology, child development, or counseling
  • Must be a Register Recovery worker or Certified Substance Abuse Counselor by an a State of California
  • Must be CPR and First Aid certified
  • Minimum tow year experience working with teens

Pre-employment Requirements for both positions:

- Passing a health screening (the examinations assess a candidate's ability to meet physical demands of the position.

- Any offer of employment is also contingent upon taking and successfully passing a criminal background.
