Description of the Childhood Obesity Prevention Study:
This study aims to integrate an early obesity prevention program with Montefiore’s nationally recognized Healthy Steps Program, a parenting program, which incorporates mental health and behavioral health specialists in pediatric primary care. This new integrated program will promote healthy infant feeding and activity, enhance general parenting skills, and address maternal psychosocial risks, such as maternal depression, anxiety, stress and financial difficulties.
