The UC California Program on Access to Care (CPAC) was created at the behest of the Legislature 20 years ago to ensure UC research and resources contribute to the development of policies that improve the health of vulnerable Californians. Housed at the School of Public Health, CPAC serves the UC statewide to disseminate and support UC research to improve the health of vulnerable populations.

Assistant Director of Policy Relations - Under the supervision of CPAC Director, Sandra Perez, serve as a liaison between CPAC and policymakers in Sacramento. Identify opportunities to strategically disseminate and support research to programs, proposals and policies that address access to health for vulnerable Californians. Communications Manager – The UCB School of Public Health and CPAC seek to hire a seasoned communications professional with experience in government and media relations to serve in a strategic and operational role. Works closely with CPAC Director, Sandra Perez, and reports to the SPH Communications Director. Initiate and implement effective internal and external communication plans. Work in close collaboration with researchers and policymakers, producing summary reports, research overviews, briefings, op-eds, press and releases. Min 5 years exp. Requires political acumen and ability to effectively translate research into a format relevant to public policy makers. Travel between Berkeley and Sacramento. Details (Job ID#22388)

Research Data Analyst – Under the supervision of CPAC Director, Sandra Perez, and working closely with statewide UC research community, conduct research data analyses and administrative management for CPAC-funded research projects. Identify UC researchers for policy projects. Facilitate synthesis of research data and analyses into succinct formats. Required: Experience with research grant administration.
