The Public Health Institute (PHI) is hiring a Project Coordinator.

The Program Coordinator of the Center for Health Leadership and Practice (CHLP) contributes to the organization, coordination and goal execution of the Center and its leadership programs, including the National Leadership Academy for the Public's Health (NLAPH), the California Leadership Academy for the Public's Health (CaLAPH), the Leadership Learning Network (LLN) and the California Opioid Safety Network (COSN). Duties include project management, maintaining communication with stakeholders, collaborators, participant team leads, developing and managing databases and engaging and networking with stakeholders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following :

  • Organizes and Prepares presentations for CHLP meetings, trainings and conferences
  • Coordinates and manages internal and external meetings, trainings and conferences
  • Assists in coordination and management of webinar content for CHLP
  • Assists in distribution of Weekly Updates to each program cohort and LLN
  • Updates Center's website including posting material regularly to learning community in each program
  • Supports management of CHLP databases
  • Support to essential office duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health or a related field required.
  • Minimum three years experience related field providing project management, coordination and/or administrative functions
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Ability to oversee and manage work plans
  • Experience in newsletter and other correspondence preparation
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and staff
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions following standard policies and procedures
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks requiring a high degree of attention to detail
  • Good diplomatic skills and ability to exercise proper discretion and judgment
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to be creative and resourceful
  • Ability to exercise initiative
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Comfortable with new technologies
  • Considerable independent judgment is required of the incumbent
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Website management skills desired
