Researchers at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center are conducting a 5-year NIH study to evaluate the effectiveness of multi-level strategies to improve provider adoption of asthma management guidelines in clinical practices that care for children with asthma. The goal is to improve delivery of asthma care and clinical outcomes of children ages 2-12 years with asthma. The project will occur in 20 clinical sites over 5 years in the Bronx and will recruit and follow 512 participants over a 12-month period. Research visits will include computerized interviews, in-person and over the telephone, and medical record extraction. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of this study as well as any other active research projects conducted by the PI. S/he will supervise a team of study coordinators, outreach workers, student researchers, and volunteers, create study protocols, manage IRB-related activities, create progress reports for the IRB and NIH, oversee data collection, communicate regularly with study clinic leadership, facilitate financial transactions, and help with dissemination of study findings.
