HCC Northern/Central California Regional Program Manager

Health Career Connection, Inc. is a national non-profit dedicated to inspiring and empowering undergraduate students to choose and successfully pursue health careers. HCC’s goals are to:

  1. Support students of color and disadvantaged students to realize their potential and become health leaders
  2. Connect them to health organizations and graduate health professions schools seeking access to diverse talent through paid internships and;
  3. Contribute to increasing the diversity of health leaders and professionals. Over the last 27 years, HCC has provided undergraduate students with exposure, experience and mentoring to pursue health careers.

HCC’s primary vehicle has been our comprehensive paid summer internship program in 10 regions nationwide (Northern CA, Southern CA, Long Beach/Orange County CA, Central Valley CA, Coachella Valley CA, Nashville TN, New England, North Carolina, New York/New Jersey, and Washington DC). These educational opportunities focus on college students pursuing careers in healthcare management and policy, health education, community health, and other public health options. HCC does not offer medical or clinical internships but does offer internships to students interested in clinical careers and one of our other priority areas.

The Regional Program Manager position for Northern and Central California will help support the growth of the organization by recruiting and increasing the number of organizations/sites to host HCC interns for their region (site recruitment) and support program development and implementation of the strategic plan. This role is responsible and accountable for overall growth and development, management, and success of the HCC program in their region.
