The Project Manager provides strategic and operational support to Sutter Care at Home for assigned initiatives designed to improve operational effectiveness and patient, employee, and clinician satisfaction. The incumbent will manage all aspects of assigned projects and services. The incumbent designs, develops, and leads or assists with projects to be used to assist the various service lines to achieve service goals and targets. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to collection of data; project development and management; presentations; and documentation of related processes and procedures. This position is also responsible for analysis, routine and Ad Hoc reporting to support the decision-making functions of SCAH leadership and senior management. This position acts as a pivotal resource to service line leaders for key initiatives.
**This position will require some travel within the Sutter Care at Home footprint (up to 15%), and can be based out of a Sutter Care at Home location and/or work remote from a home location within the Sutter Care at Home footprint, with approval.
Bachelor Degree in healthcare management or other business related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree in a healthcare related field is desired.
Minimum 3 years in project management required, with combination of education and other experience considered in lieu. Experience working with managers monitoring goals and objectives through high level data analysis and interpretation. Experience in developing and providing management training programs to managers and to non-management personnel involved in new operational structures is strongly desired. Experience working with various stakeholders towards successful development and implementation of projects.
High level knowledge of process improvement, data interpretation, disciplined approaches to problem-solving, coaching and education, and project management. Knowledge of project reporting tools for performance monitoring, presentation to executive boards and senior leadership. Knowledge in lean six sigma is preferred
This position requires leadership skills to make a positive impact that contributes and gives direction to issues, work groups, and task forces with proven interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with all levels of management. Incumbent must have a demonstrated background in written/verbal communication and the ability to develop educational and informational presentations.
This position requires PC skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, project management, and similar system to perform analysis, track project progression, develop projections, and submit performance graphics. Has a high level of creative problem solving skills as well as priority setting skills. Demonstrates ability to manage, plan, coordinate, direct and evaluate ongoing operations. Able to multi-task and function within established time frames for deadlines. Demonstrated ability to evaluate and implement change. Strong team-building orientation, demonstrated communication skills with leadership and executive staff, and the ability to develop and foster relationships at all levels throughout the organization. Must be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and have a strong commitment to continuous quality improvement.
