Working under the general direction of the Executive Director and Administrative Director, Finance & Business Operations, the Radiation Oncology Communication & Project Manager leads efforts related to communication, training, physics administration and overall project management throughout the department. The incumbent oversees and maintains departmental communication mechanisms to ensure consistent messaging and clear communications at all levels of the department and beyond. The incumbent is also responsible for proactively identifying, tracking, and improving the training and professional development opportunities for all staff as well as collaborating with managers to develop appropriate training programs. In addition, the incumbent serves as the administrative lead for the Chief of Physics and the Physics Division. This role also allows the opportunity for the incumbent to serve as a key project manager in the department, particularly as related to process improvement, diversity, and population health.
Drawing on an understanding of department operations and previous experience working with multidisciplinary clinical and/or technical teams and displaying a high degree of initiative and independent judgment, the incumbent must exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills in order to collaborate closely with departmental leadership and staff at all levels to lead efforts mentioned above. Requires discretion and judgment to organize priorities, complete tasks and handle sensitive patient information.
