Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Support

Reporting to the Program Manager of Inclusion and Workforce Development, the Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Support Specialist will provide coordination, and administrative and logistical support to Inclusion and Workforce Development initiatives within Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.  


  • Work in close collaboration with internal stakeholders or external vendors as necessary, to ensure effective coordination and delivery of Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Initiatives
  • Market programs to customers and ensure instructor and participant preparation, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation of student trainees, interns and externship participants. Schedule space and catering. Order and maintain supplies.   
  • Provide logistic support for program days, college tours, meetings, events and related activities i.e.  assist with design for participant materials, assemble materials for programs, etc.
  • Support the collections and analysis of data to report program metrics and demonstrate value and ROI
  • Maintain administrative systems to support the operations of the office including ordering supplies, monitoring P-card expenditures, processing AP requests and purchase orders and sponsorship request and payments via Dana-Farber’s PeopleSoft system.
  • Provide administrative support for College for America including advertising, record keeping, and maintaining correspondence amongst the various stakeholders.
  • Update and maintain Inclusion, Diversity & Equity intranet site to promote opportunities, information sharing and to publicize.
  • Manage calendar and booking requests for all office events.
  • Enter and approve reported time for up to 60+ students, weekly.
  • Perform other related duties as needed or as circumstances arise.



  • Undergraduate degree. Degree in education, marketing, communications or a similar field preferred and/or equivalent education and experience combination.
  • Minimum 2-3 years administrative experience.
  • Ability to work evening and/or week-end hours with notice
  • Experience and comfort level with presenting training to small and large groups.



  • Superior organizational skills and strong internal client relations within all levels of the Institute. Attention to detail, ability to work independently and accurately. Ability to keep multiple people’s needs, and course or program deadlines, in mind at once.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills over the phone, in writing and in person.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Proven ability to creatively design professional looking course handouts, promotional materials, and presentations.
  • Ability to use various software packages: Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft. Ability to use online authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate or Articulate Studio a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Sense of humor, flexibility/adaptability, and ability to problem-solve in the moment.
